How to install a theme

You need to talk to the people from Theme Forest that sold you this theme.

but this is a generic question about wordpress
on how to instal a theme.. I don’t see the option of “appearance”

so do I need to host my site, upgrade or something to get it?

The problem is that I don’t see the “appearance” tab when I go to my wordpress.com site. The wordpress site in the links looks different from what I am seeing. I don’t see all the tabs that are mentioned there.

Am I supposed to see this from the web version of wordpress? or do I install it and I can see those options?

Can I upload an image here? I can’t download any software on this laptop. I am using Onenote to capture a screen shot

The plugins are empty- It says to upgrade if I want to add a store to my site. I am on the free version. Can that impact it?

Ohh, if you attempt to install a theme wp.com website you can use predefined themes there.

I was trying to install wordpress by going to wp-admin/install.php and I am getting an error PHP is not running, your server does not have PHP installed or is turned off

How do I fix this?

I have been trying to upload a .zip file with a theme I downloaded from ThemeForest. It reaches about 10% upload then inevitably gets an error saying the connection was reset. Nothing happens with my internet connection and I don’t have issue with any other pages, however I cannot seem to upload the theme. I have tried at least 10 times – same error.

Any suggestions?
