• I am trying to find a way to display one image in the sidebar with a link. I have tried NextGen, a text widget, and Simple Image Link. None work. NextGen allows one image to be displayed but I am unable to find the proper location to insert the link. Inserting an image into a text widget with HTML is simple and works but it also activates the next line of text below with the same HTML link and I have been unable to figure out a way to turn it off. Simple Image Link appeared to be the solution but it has some kind of bug and simply disappears from the widget when saved.

I suspect I’m doing something wrong with each but I have not been able to ID with problem. Or, is there a plugin other than the three I am using. Please help….

  • Please provide the code you were entering in the text widget, sounds like you just forgot to close the link element…

Text widget will do the job just fine…

    You can place code here.

@edecked – I have reved the plugin to support WordPress 2.8 – Give the latest version a try.

I’m using the latest version of wordpress (2.8.4) and the latest version of the plugin (2.2). It seems there is a problem with the plugin, as I am experiencing the exact same problem as the other guys posting here: When adding the plugin/widget to the sidebar it doesn’t stay. Once I add it and save it … it’s gone when I return, have tried both with and without accessibility mode. I don’t get any errors, it just doesn’t stay in the sidebar config. I have tried only adding image url, it seems no matter what I add, it just doesn’t stay.
