how to insert opt in box in sidebar

    I want to insert an opt in box and I have a code from my autoresponder.

    I go to edit theme and look for the side bar and paste the code over there,but I cannot see my opt in box, please help

    Are you using widgets? If yes – no matter what you edit in the template file… widgets will always override it.
    You either stop using widgets and edit your sidebar manually or you put your code in a text-widget.
