How to Index Specific Author Page

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin. The reverse should be the case in your approach. You first need to enable author archives, so there’s an author sitemap. Then you will set specific authors to noindex.

I have thosands of author, I want them to be noindex, and want to index 2 or 3 authors only.

I done it for my client for this website,

We simply set the robots.txt file and allow the author and it will be indexed as soon as possible.

Once you toggle the button to turn OFF Show author archives in search results, it adds a noindex tag to all the authors. So, there’s no workaround to index just a few.
