• I’ve found documentation on indexing ACF repeater fields (add to functions.php), but what if all I want to do is index a normal ACF text field?

    1. can the fields simply be added on the “indexing” tab? (same place you would add _sku to index the woocommerce sku field)

    2. would I use the “friendly” field name like “subtitle” or the internal name like “field_5c86c2e3af29d”?

The SKU indexes fine, but I can’t get any ACF text field to index…I must be doing something wrong.

    THANKS!

    1. Yes, a normal ACF text field is in all senses just a regular custom field.

    2. Just the friendly name, that’s an actual custom field that contains the field data.

Any suggested troubleshooting tips? I have an ACF text field I have set to index but its not working. Re-indexed a couple times. I’m searching for a term contained in the field, but its not finding it. Thanks again!

Have you tried the Relevanssi admin search (Dashboard > Admin search)? If you haven’t, give that a go to see if it finds the post.

Search for ”debugging Relevanssi indexing” to find a useful post describing ways of debugging Relevanssi indexing issues.
