How to increase the allowed download file size?

  • When I try to add a file download to my page I get an error message that the max allowed file download size in my page is 2Mb.

    How do I increase the file size?

    I’m using Simple File Download Monitor add-on for this, but somehow I unerstood that this is a problem with wordpress, not the add-on.

  • You need to change server settings at php.ini file but if you are on shared hosting that will not be allowed. You can upload bigger files on dropbox and share link. ??
