I love this plugin an use it with every blogpost I make. However, I find the letters a little bit too small for my taste.

For the visual editor I use the Visual Editor Font Size to make the letters bigger, but how can I make the HTML Editor letters bigger?

If this is not possible by overriding a function or such, could this be added as an option or overrideable function in a next version?

    Thanks for reading/listening. ??

  • Do you mean the letters in the editor itself? If so, one simple solution is to increase the display size of the browser.

    Thanks for your reply.

I indeed mean the font size in the editor itself. Using the zoom function from the browser is not a good solution, I think, because I like to see the site in the same size as visitors do.

Otherwise I’d be applying formatting that looks good at 130%, but is misplaced for all visitors using 100%. Continuously switching between 130% for the editor and 100% for watching the preview version is not terribly convenient. ??

Sorry, I should have said I meant only the text/HTML editor whose view size won’t affect the published page. I’ve switched off the visual editor, having been constantly annoyed with how it messes up code. (Recently tried the new WPEdit, but it still seems to have bugs.)
Admittedly, the fix I suggested isn’t the best. It does involve opening another tab or switching zooms to view the published results. That remains an annoyance.

Ability to change font size of the editor in my to-do list. For now you can increase font size by changing the plugin CSS file:

    1. Go to “Installed Plugins”
    2. Click “Edit” button next to the plugin
    3. Choose CSS file named “hesh.min.css” to edit
    4. Press Ctrl (cmd on Mac) + F on your keyboard and search for “font-size:12px”
    5. Change the font size for “14px” or whatever you like.

I tried this, changing to “font-size:16px”
No change occurred in the text editor.
But this small sized font is a problem for me with the original WP editor too. Do its settings override those in the plugin?

Did you save the changes? Also try to clear your browser cache.

Thank-you for your patience. Realized I needed an even bigger font size to make the difference noticeable. “font-size:20px” is perfect for my bad eyes. Hope this works for hki429 too. Great plugin!

In the plugin version 1.6.0 you can now change the editor font size from 10 to 22 px using drop-down list next to the fullscreen button. I hope this feature will help you to adjust a font size ??
