How to import/embed link content

  • I would like to ’embed’ excerpts from external links, if possible with a thumbnail (like an WP excerpt).
    The idea is, just to add the link and get the rest automatically like you do in Facebook or Google+.

    I found a plugin embed.ly so far, but this does not produce the results I would like to see.
    Tools like storify are not constantly working with apropiate quality.

    Anyone has an idea of how to achieve this or if there are any plugins?
