How to import .xml file to wordpress for transfering blog?

  • Hello everyone.I dont know if this is the right section to post or not.I had a blogspot blog.Now I am migrating to wordpress.I imported my entire blogspot blog as .xml file and when I tried uploading my .xml file to wordpress,there is no option given.So I selected the “blogger” option under import.But when I selected that and when I tried logging in it is showing “
    Could not connect to https(://)google(dot)com

    There was a problem opening a secure connection to Google. This is what went wrong:
    Connection timed out (110) Thank you for creating with wordpress|Documentation|Feedback
    Version 2.9.1″
    Can someone help me how to export my blogspot blog to my wordpress blog?
    Also I exported the blogspot blog as a .xml file already,now how to import .xml file to wordpress?Thanks in advance.

  • I get the same error message, also using 2.9.1 I’ve been searching and searching and haven’t found a solution… can any help us out here?
