I have a WP blog site that goes back to 2011, and it is always updated to the latest version of WP.

But in looking at importing the blog post database into a new WP v6 database/theme, I find things do not look quite right. Any ideas please.

      OLD POST
You can shake the tree and they act dead and fall to the ground.

    [caption id="attachment_21" align="aligncenter" width="640" caption="Common Green Weevil"]<a href="https://www.my path/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/2011-05-07-17.57.12-cropped.jpg"><img class="size-large wp-image-21" title="Common Green Weevil" src="https://www.my path/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/2011-05-07-17.57.12-cropped-1017x1024.jpg" alt="" width="640" height="644" /></a>[/caption]

They attack fully mature trees as well. etc etc.

It appears that the import has converted the “classic” format of the post into individual blocks, sorta what you get when you use “convert to blocks” manually in an old, classic post. If this isn’t working for you, you might install the plugin “classic editor”, force the site to use the classic editor, and remove and re-do the import. That will bring the old content into a single classic block. Then, disable/remove the “classic editor” plugin and use the block editor going forward.

I was coming to that conclusion.

Looking at the database code it changed in March 2019

As I am trying to use a new theme July 2022, I wondered if it was anything to do with that. Obviuosly not.
