How to import Miva DBF database

  • I’m considering changing my participate Miva website to WordPress with this plug in. Just want to how hard it would be to import my current miva DBFdatabase to WordPress.

    I’m not at all familiar with the data structures involved, so I can’t be specific. It’s important to understand that the data that Participants Database uses is separate from the standard WordPress data such as posts, pages and users.

    The method for importing data to Participants Database is to use a CSV file. The best way to do this is to use a spreadsheet app to help format the data you’re going to import. If Miva can export to a format the spreadsheet app can open, then the app serves to translate from one format to another. Spreadsheet apps can export the CSV file you need to get the data into Participants Database.
