How to import images?

Hi @cameleweb,

To import images there are two ways, one by adding the full URL in the CSV which will fetch the image from the URL. Another method is to upload the images to the media library and then use the filename (eg: image1.jpg) in the CSV. The images will connect with the products.

Please refer the documentation to understand the media library entry dupication.

I have problem with import images via ftp url. For example during import i can’t import images with this url – ftp://ftp_drive_d_r:[email protected]:21/882608c9-9582-467c-b3f5-5127916a65f2___v8_1F5B_8db7.jpeg

We checked the URL in browser’s incognito window to see if it’s publicly accessible. As you can see from the screenshot, it requires authentication which means the URL is not publicly accessible.

Kindly ensure that the image URLs are publicly accessible to import successfully.

But how to avoid this problem? This is the site of our product’s vendor. I asked them to check it but they give no reaction. They said that the photos are available in public and we don not know nothink about incognito mode.

I just opened the link in Safari and Firefox browser. It says you don’t have permission to open this page. Please refer the screenshot.

Publicly accessible URLs won’t ask for authentication credentials to view the link.

Is there a way to overcome authorization if i will get the login and password?
Vendor’s site can not be public accessible as i have been informed.

As there is no provision to give the authentication credentials during import, there is no way to bypass it. We regret the inconvenience caused.
