I try to import and it works fine, But no success with immages
    Can anyone tell me –
    – in the csv file do I have to use the only image file name [iamgefilename.jpg ] or do I have to use sitename.com/wp-content-uplaods/2018/03/iamgefilename.jpg

Also how I should upload the iamges – either by using the wordpres dashboard or the ftp /cpanel

Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,

CRON should be enabled in your server to import the featured images with our CSV Importer product. Also, we accept only the URL of the image which is publicly accessible. So place the complete URL of the image in the CSV file and map it with the featured_image in the mapping section to successfully import the images into your WordPress.

If you still face any problem even after doing the above steps, kindly create a support ticket at support[at]smackcoders[dot]com, we will help you in the right way.

    Thanks.

    Good to see your reply

Ok I got it, But how I should upload the images either by ftp/cpanel or wordpress dashboard ?
    Thanks

Hi. I am also having problems importing image products. I have saved all the images I need for my online store in my media library. When I import my products with the import tool it won’t add products because of the images. The image file names in my import CSV are the same file names as my media library. Is there a way to point to the image library vs using the URL location for EVERY image? That would be very tedious.

    Hi Onedna,

You can use the images in the FTP/CPanel but those images need to be publicly accessible to get import with our plugin. So kindly create a folder in the root of the WordPress folder and host it in the live with the images which make those images get the URL and publicly accessible. You can use that image URL in your CSV file to import it for your posts.

    Thanks.

    Hi Pamojastore,

We haven’t added the support for the image import with the image name. So currently the only Way to import the featured images for your posts is possible by using the URL of the media library or by using the external URL of the publicly accessible images.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Wordpress CSV Importer plugin recognizes only the UTF-8 encoded characters. You can check on the UTF-8 encoding with CSV Lint. Any chance if you are using Excel, we recommend you to use Google Sheets. Excel will miss some characters to be encoded to proper UTF-8.

    Thanks.
