    Hello,

I am actually testing this wonderful plugin and i have a question about how to implement categories with this plugins. I don’t understand how it’s work.

I have created for exemple 20 achievements where i added a site categories
So i have in final 4 categories and 5 achievements in each one.

So after that i created in a menu a link to
    https://localhost/achievements/ pages.

When i click on this link all the achievements i created are listed in this page without any categories ??

I am sure i am doing something wrong but i don’t understand how to list the categories and when we click on it, we have the list of all achievements in the category.

Maybe it’s a special developpement to do.

So if someone can help to help me to understand how it’s work it will be great.

    Yves

Yes, the categories aren’t displayed or shown anywhere in the templates. This may happen in the future, but it will be some time away as I am pretty busy at the moment.

You should be able to use the same category functions that you would if you were templating for a blog post, onto the Achievements pages.

Do you know how categories are displayed for blog posts? If so, I’ll let you know some detail about which files in Achievements you’ll want to modify.

    Hello paul,

Thanks for your response. I don’t know how to categories, so if you can give me some details how to do that, and which pages i have to change i will appreciate.

Other question on this plugin when i create a new events achievements:

I can select 3 events before receiving the award
    exemple :
    the user create a group
    the user create a forum
    the user create a topic

    events repeat = 5

If i have good understand how it’s work,
the awards will be unlock when the user create 5 groups and create 5 forum and create 5 topics. That right ?

Is it possible also to unlock an achievement when the user create for exemple 10 forums in the same group ?

    Hi Paul,

Re: categories, I’m interested in displaying separate Achievement pages for each category. If this is possible, could you let me know what file(s) to copy and modify?

    Thanks a lot!

Achievements makes use of WP’s default “Categories” taxonomy. Per above, Achievements doesn’t provide any templates for a categories screen at the moment.

I think you’ll have to find whatever template controls that in a WordPress theme, and figure out how to get that working against a custom post type.
