How to identify/back out changes?

Someone on fiverr “helped” with making some changes and used WPide. Although he was not provided ftp access, he was able to make changes to the theme files with just admin access (that don’t show up inside the admin editor). ALL the files have a last change date of when he ran WPide.
As part of the deal, he was supposed to indicate what files he edited, but he didnt.
Is there a way to see what was changed via WPide? Or back them out?
The side is no longer responsive due to the changes.
Also, since I don’t know where the changes are, I’m afraid the changes will get overwritten with new updates and the site will break.Thanks!!!
