How to I get my plugins to work in Custom Page templates

  • Hi this may sound like a really newbie question but I am using the plugin “Secondary HTML Content” to create extra blocks of editable HTML in my pages.

    Problem is that this only works on my post pages and not my custom pages that I create. I have created a custom page template called “Portfolio” and need to create extra HTML fields in the backend,

    Any help would be great!

  • On line 44 of the plugin’s code. Change ‘page’ to ‘portfolio’

    And in the options just add 1 to ‘Pages’ and it will actually add it to your custom post type of Portfolio.

    I just tried that and it worked like a dream. I don’t quite understand the ‘just add 1 to ‘pages’ but I just needed the first part to work.
