  • Where are you trying to hide this? If you’re referencing files, it’s a needed part of the file path for theme files and you aren’t likely to be able to make it go away. Maybe some complicated redirects but that could wreak havoc on proper functioning of plugins and upgrades.

Well when we click on show source on any wordpress site then it should about the theme and details of structure
I am only looking to hide wp-content/theme/themename to something easier like just with theme

Thats what I thought. The only way to change that would be to edit the core files which is really not recommend or maybe do some redirects but it would be difficult and could still break the functionality of some part of your site or plugins or upgrades.

I guess there is no way without breaking functionality of my site.

@songdogtech Is it okay to implement the rewriting of static css assets ?

Sure, as long as they load and are referenced in the theme. Delete the name of the theme in style.css.

But that’s not going to stop someone from downloading the css and scraping the rest of the theme if they want it.
