How to hide WP audioplayer

I am using the wp audioplayer and it works great other than on the home page I have a brief introduction using the autostart option and I would like to have the player hidden from view on that page. Any suggestions?

I’ve tried another plugin called singsong that can be hidden but I have problems with particular browsers being able to invole the player to hear the audio.
