I’d like to have the unsubscribe only available in the emails and not on the widget, how can I hide or disable it on the frontend? So hide the unsubscribe box and also the Category h5 title underneath it.

And how to change the text on the button that says “Update me”. I’d like to change it to “Update Me” with a capital M. Also, “Subscribe me” to “Subscribe Me”.

And I was thinking wouldn’t it be much simpler to instead of having the unsubscribe me box on the frontend, to just put a small text message underneath the “Update Me” button that says: Uncheck boxes and click Update to unsubscribe. That way it saves space and looks better. So if all boxes are unchecked and they click “Update” they are unsubscribed from everything.

    Hi @azul87,

As for hiding the unsubscribe feature. A new shortcode will be added called “hide_unsubscribe”. Standard this shortcode will not be honored unless enabled by an admin setting. This way it stays compatible with older versions. This will apply then also for the [stc_subscribe] shortcode. This becomes [stc_subscribe hide_unsubscribe] and in the admin settings the unsubscribe short code enabled.

As for the changes in the text. This will also be done in the next version update.

As for your last request. This is now also possible but the email address will stay. It is for this reason that a user can specifically remove him self from the STC data.

I have made also more changes to the subscription function.

    • If user is not logged in: subscription and updates always need an approval from the email address.
    • If user is logged in but has no admin rights: the email field is read only
    • If user is logged in with admin rights: the email field is editable but no verification emails are send.
    • I aim to release a new version of STC 2.2.1 before the end of this week.
