Hello, we have a table where there is an empty cell, but your tool inserts a 0 in it. How can we hide the 0?

    Hello there.

The plugin follows database rules for database tables (Manual, SQL query-based, and imported tables), so integer and float columns can never be empty.

The only way to use empty cells would be to create a table linked to an existing source.

Hello and thank you for your reply. When I have empty cells in Excel or OpenOffice, both software programs do not automatically change the empty cells to a 0. I believe this might be a misconfiguration. Could you please clarify what you mean by “Linking with an empty source”?

    Hello.
When we said to link the table to a data source that has empty cells,
we mean to choose “Create a data table linked to an existing data source?” which will link the source file to the table.

If you are already using data source as Excel as data source linked to a table,
we are not able to reproduce the issue you described.
Here is a screenshot of a dummy Excel we made, that contains some blank cells in a numeric column :

And here is how it looks when we create a new table linked to this Excel file.

If we choose Integer or Float, it leaves these cells blank, it does not change them to zero.

Can you confirm which table type are you using for this?
Did you choose “Create a data table linked to an existing data source?”? during Table?Creation Wizard and connected this with your source Excel that has some blank cells?
    ?

If that is the case, can you please send us that Excel file here, if it does not contain any sensitive data,
then we can try to make a table from it to try and replicate the issue?
You could upload it to weTransfer as zipped format, and send us the download link.
    Thank you.
