How to hide comments until user clicks e.g. 'show/leave comment'?

(Tried this on the ‘how to’ forum but go no replies.)

I am now getting many comments on some posts, and I’d rather hide them unless the user clicks something, maybe something that says “display or leave comment” or some such thing. It might also be nice for the clickable place to say how many comments there are so far, but that’s gravy.

I’m using Weaver. Thank you for any help.
