How to hide author in new Post Type

    We are testing the Post Types Unlimited plugin. So far, results are good. But, we want to be able to not show the author’s name in the Post Type, which we call News Briefs.

    Hi there, this is AJ the plugin author.

    If you are looking to hide the author name on the front-end, this is going to be theme related. If you are using our Total theme you have the option to disable that via the extra settings as shown in this video: https://cl.ly/cc668b

    If you are using a different theme you’ll need to ask the theme developer how to hide the author on the front-end (there may not be an option in which case a child theme modification or custom CSS would be needed).

    If you want to hide the author name in the backend in the WordPress dashboard where you manage your custom post type then you would simply edit the post type to disable “Author” under the “Supports” option (which is disabled by default). See this screenshot: https://cl.ly/a55dad
