• Hi!
I’Ve been using pinboard for a year now, and am happy with it. However, now I’d like to have a left sidebar on a few of my pages (not all though), and have no clue how to do that. I created a new page and I tried selecting “Blog, Left Sidebar” from “Templates” as opposed to the “Default Template” I usually use, but nothing happened.

I went to widgets and in “sidebar left” i dragged and dropped “text” from the available widgets, but still. . .nothing.

    How can I do this?

    Thank you!

  • Pinboard comes with 18 templates. All these templates fall into four categories: Blog, Static Pages (content), Portfolio, others. You are selecting blog templates for static pages.

    1. You have to select one of the templates having their name content. Here for your requirement, you need to select template either sidebar/content or sidebar/content half for required pages.
    2. Theme Options>>Layout>>Content Columns>> Select 3 or 4 from dropdown
    3. Add atleast one widget in one of the sidebar widget sections: Sidebar Top, Sidebar Left, Sidebar Right, Sidebar Bottom

Now your required page layout appear on the front end.
