• Hi, my page is https://www.dimitriosmatsoulis.com and it is my first wordpress page. My problem is that I am trying to make the home page at the same time my blog page. Essentially in the menu I want a posts entry as my blog+home page and an about static page about myself.

The home static page does not appear in my page list and when I try to do something from settings–>reading the available combinations make my desire impossible (from what I have tried so far). I am using the Twenty-Eleven theme. Could you please help?

  • I think there are two ways to accomplish this.
    1. Set the Reading settings to Static Page, Front Page to Home, and Posts Page to Home. Then access your Home page from Appearance/Menus. In the Menu Structure section, click the arrow in the top right of the Home page and change the navigation label to blog+home.
    2. Set the Reading settings to Show My Latest Posts, then remove the Home page from the menu and change the navigation label on your Blog page to home+blog.

Thank you for your reply. The problem is that I cannot see “home” in my page list.

For this you will have to create a page name ‘Home” first.
