How to have it link to the article

Just find the download ID from the admin screen and create a link with the URL, like so:

https://domain.com/?ddownload_id=ID

That’s basically what the shortcode would generate.

yes, I need to know the id, but if is it possible to attach it to article, so whenever article A call it will call the download in a set.

You can use custom fields but you will need to update your theme to show the meta data.

if I used custom field then those that I do with delightful downloads will all lost?

Not if you use the link I showed you above. Download statistics will still be tracked.
