How to Google Event Track native WordPress audio tracks

  • I was wondering if anyone found a way to do Google Event Tracking with Audio in WordPress.
    I am adding tracks to CPT posts using the WordPress audio shortcode.
    I’ve tried using Gravitate Event Tracking, by making it an onclick event using the audio id and a tag. Not sure if I am targeting it wrong, but it didn’t seem to work.
    I have done a lot of searching on the internet too. Even though I am sure people do this all the time, I can not seem to find anything documented.
    And I also seem to be out of ideas… although I don’t think I had any good ones to start off with.
    It would be much appreciated if there is someone that have an idea to share.
