Hello,
Thanks for your message. We are glad to hear you’ve been working successfully with VikBooking for over a year!
You’ve got a couple of solutions available in order to give access to certain functions also to additional users. If you are looking for granting the access to the Administrative section (wp-admin) of VikBooking, then you should create a new WordPress user, assign it to a specific user role (such as “Contributor”), and then use the page “Permissions” to manage the so called ACL settings for the “Contributor” role. The page Permissions is available by clicking the apposite top toolbar button in the page Dashboard, when of course you’re logged into the back-end section as an Administrator with full permissions. Thanks to the ACL settings, you can enable or disable the access to certain functions, such as managing rooms, rates, reservations etc..
Another solution available for managing the access of additional users is to use the Operators framework. From the wp-admin section of VikBooking you can create new Operators and optionally assign them to an existing WordPress user account that was previously created. Operators can be grant the permissions to access several “tools”, such as the Tableaux. The good thing about the Operators framework is that it is fully extendable through custom WordPress plugins in case you would like to create a custom tool for providing specific functions.
Lastly, your operators can access their Dashboard through the front-end section of your website, by publishing the apposite Shortcode of type “Operators Login” onto a page of your website.
In conclusion, you can give access to certain functions to additional users to the wp-admin section by limiting their ACL settings and capabilities. Alternatively, you can have additional users log into their Operators Dashboard through the front-end section in case you would like to be able to access specific “tools” dedicated to operators.
Feel free to reach out to our technical support team through our website should you have any additional questions.
We hope this helps!
