• Guys, is it not possible, to have the plugin “respect” the entire youtube link, meaning including the seconds?

I need the videos to start at the exact moment I want, not at the beginning.

So for example, I want this video to start at 60 seconds in, the link would be:

But if I use this url in the plugin, it’ll still play from the start.

    Hi,

Can you provide a sample page and the exact code that you’re using?

    Hi

Check it out here. I made a testpage, chose single video and inserted the clip from above with a timestamp at 60seconds:

    https://improlab.ch/youtube-test/

It’s still starting from 00:00 when you click play.

Can you paste the code you inserted on that page here? Please use the CODE formatter on the forum text editor so that the code actually shows and not the actual YouTube embed.

I am not sure, what you mean. I’ll just try a bunch of things.

So the youtube link I use, looks like this:

    https://youtu.be/aPC_h9Vmlxw?t=60

    Oh I just noticed something.

I went back to my test page. I edited it, and chose to insert a new block. There I chose your “Youtube Wizard”.
Then I clicked the “Open Wizard” Button.

There I chose “Embed a single video”.

Now here it comes: I copy paste my URL into the URL Field the Wizard shows me.
    https://youtu.be/aPC_h9Vmlxw?t=60
And I hit the submit button.

Now I get a preview page witih some information and my video. In the Information it says right above the video:

    Or Copy Code: [embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPC_h9Vmlxw[/embedyt]

There I can already see, that the time was cut off from the link! So I went ahead and copied that, but then added the time info at the end!

I chose to shortcode block, and pasted that into it. Unfortunately, it still wont work….

The result is the second, small video on my test page:

    https://improlab.ch/youtube-test/

the big video is also your block, if I edit it, I can see that it does have the time info in its url.

But you don’t need to look at my page.

Just try yourself. Does it work for you, if you try to embed a youtube url with time code? Does it start at that time?

It doesn’t seem like you’re using the correct code. Please revisit the bottom of the “Embed Manually” tab of the free version’s admin page for instructions for setting start times:

You can also start and end each individual video at particular times. Like the above, each option should begin with ‘&’

start - Sets the time (in seconds) to start the video. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quwebVjAEJA&width=500&height=350&start=20
end - Sets the time (in seconds) to stop the video. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quwebVjAEJA&width=500&height=350&end=100
