How to get the avatar in the WP REST API?

    In my WordPress site I used this plugin to upload custom avatars to authors. In here, I’m building a custom React front end and fetch data from the REST API. The problem is, the API won’t send the images uploaded by this plugin. How can I fix this?

  • I’m having the same problem… In my case is always returned the default image url for every author, even if they have their own image

    I’m having this exact issue – the REST response always comes back with the default avatar, whether it’s from Gravatar or the “default option” selected with this same plugin.
