How to get stylesheet url from root as opposed to http

I’m sure i’ve done this in a previous version of WP but cant seem to find the function to do it now…
I want to use the stylesheet location in some php, but it needs to be from root, not http, so get_bloginfo(‘get_stylesheeturl’) doesnt work.
Can anybody tell me the function for this?
