• Hi there,

My new website is up and running over a week. I have worked on over 20 WordPress websites now. One thing that I noticed today is that my homepage still has many unwanted scripts.
By this I mean, I installed a few plugins and then deactivated and deleted them. For example, Shareaholic and Lazy Load. But I noticed that the script codes are still present in my index.php file when I looked using the source code.

Since I have a habit of adding and trying new plugins and then deleting if it does not helps / suits the website. I would like to know how can I get rid of these script tags which may be adding extra loading time to the website.

    Regards,
    Pratik

  • Remember to press CTRL and F5 simultaneously when viewing an updated page/site. Or try emptying your browser cache. This should ensure that your web browser fetches a fresh copy of the page rather than serving up an out-dated copy from your own cache.

    Also disable/deactivate any caching plugin(s).

    Thanks,
    That did the trick.
All the script files are not seen now.

But when I do a speedtest online the result still shows that the plugins JS files are called. Not sure why it shows in the speed test.
