    <link rel=”stylesheet” id=”generateblocks-google-fonts-css” href=”//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Montserrat:100,100italic,200,200italic,300,300italic,regular,italic,500,500italic,600,600italic,700,700italic,800,800italic,900,900italic|Playfair+Display:regular,500,600,700,800,900,italic,500italic,600italic,700italic,800italic,900italic&display=swap” media=”all”>

    Hi there,

    GenerateBlocks should only load the variants it needs based on your selected font weights for those fonts.

    Do you have those fonts set in multiple blocks on the page? If so, are they using different weights?

    Hi Tom

    No, non of the elements (header and footer) or the Home page doesn’t have any weight set, all of them are set into default

    Can you deactivate your caching plugin and then let me know so I can view the source of your site?

    Hi Tom @edge22

    So I was digging a bit and I find out that after installing Autoptimize and removing google fonts The unnecessary part of the loading of types of fonts disappear however I do not have my font which I chose which in this case is Montserrat. In code it only load the weight 400, which is good and fast. But I still want my page to have Montserrat font…what should I do ?

    When you choose a Google font, the variants field should automatically populate with all of the available variants: https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/typography-overview/#font-family

    Did you make sure to remove the ones you don’t need?

    Let us know ??
