I intended to try out WordPress because I am not satisfied with my present webpage (soejberg.com), so I use xampp to build a better site.
I have struggled for days to just build the front page, and now I can’t get further because this is blocking me.
    How can I remove it?
As I can’t upload screenshot here, I have to show it on my site, sorry.

  • That arrow thing? That’s not related to Elementor as far as I know. Maybe some other plugin, or browser addon is adding that.

It is the grey area also. The arrow-thing is the cursor changing when I take the mouse over the side panel.
And another thing is that I have tried several gallery themes, but I can’t make albums/folders and upload images. It seems that WP is just for blogging?

WP is definitely not just for blogging, but it takes a little time to come up with the right combination of plugins etc. that will do what you want it to do. The sky is the limit though in terms of what it can do. I’m really not sure how to solve your problem though. There’s just not enough information to determine. Some general tips would be to try in a different browser, to temporarily deactivate all plugins, and then reactivate one at a time, and see if one of them is the problem.
