How to get rid of the 'Leave Reply'

    Hi I am desperate to get rid of the ‘leave reply’ that appears on all my pages. This is so frustrating as I have unticked all of the options in the discussion area, I have unticked the same with each page (in screen options) including the media page and they are still appearing at the bottom. Any idea as to how I do this? Is there a way I can do it the code? I am using twenty twelve theme? Normally I have had noo problems but this is turning into a nightmare. Thanks

    Which theme are you using?

    Hi,

    On Dashboard->Settings->Discussion, disable commenting on Pages. On existing pages, Edit them and disable commenting on them one by one on the Edit page.

    if you go to the specific page and click edit, go to the very top of the page and it should have a grey tag that says “screen options”. click that down and select the discussion tab. you should then be able to remove them from the page if you scroll down and un tick them

    Hi thanks but I have done that. I went page by page and turned off the comments option at the top on both pages but they are still showing? Thanks again

    Hmm, too bad it did not work, for know I would not know how to get rid of it either….

    I found this:

    Pages > All Pages, click Quick Edit under page title, uncheck option “Allow Comments”, click Update.

    Reproduced it myself just now with the Twenty Twelf and it works!!
