How to get rid of the info block in the posts?

By info block, I mean the title column, plus the column under that, which has the date, author, etc.

I want a code that could help me just hide it. In another words, I just want to see the pictures in the slider.

For some odd reason, h2.entry-title {display: none;} doesn’t want to work and I can still see the title of the post and the author, date, etc
