• Does anyone know how to get rid of the << («) that shows up in my WordPress page titles as they show in the title bar? I notice they are here on this site as well.

  • Try looking in your theme’s header.php template file.

Thanks. I did that right after making the post and was actually able to figure it out. Thanks again, though!

Do you know enough php to be able to dynamically create keyword meta tags and description tags in that file so that they vary from post to post? I can’t understand the code in the Codex on how to do it.

Yes I do. Try downloading the Emporium theme and looking at the emporium_meta_tags() function in functions.php.

That is even more incomprehensible than the Codex code. I installed the emporium theme so that I could see where the tags were entered. It looks easy, but I can’t see creating that function myself and then somehow creating some kind of dialog box to enter the keywords.

I guess I am going to have to look for a plug-in.

    Thanks anyway.

LOL! Sorry. I did try to comment it as best I could.

It’s not that you failed to comment adequately. It’s that I just don’t know php, so my mind stops functioning when I see the words “case” or “switch.”

I was a programmer in another lifetime, but fortunately the dinosaurs ate me before I could reproduce.
