    Hey there,

as i’m using htis plugin for what it was intended – to inform my users about new articles and pages – i also wondered about that… well… lets be honest, i won’t tell what i call this “service”. Good for marketers, bad for responsible bloggers. ’nuff ranting. I fear in short or long terms i have to find another plugin doing this job, but for now i’m willing to give it a try – without the Readygraph stuff.

OK, so how to get rid of the banner? And no, the closing button is NOT working. The banner will stay there. Obviously, this sets me up a little, so i want to get rid of the readygraph reference completely. Sorry, but i’m not the person to “just ignore the big banner stickin’ in your face”.
As stated in another thread, i:

    – removed file subscribe2/readygraph-extension.php
    – removed directory subscribe2/extension/readygraph/
    – in file subscribe2/subscribe2.php , remove or comment the line “include “readygraph-extension.php””

Am i missing any other files or hooks?

(and sorry for another Thread according the same issue again, but other users also have been told that everyone who has the same problem must open a thread for himself, no matter what… well, here is mine.)

  • Mr. mattyrob, I appreciate your kind response, but I am not a developer…hence, I don’t know what FTP software is, much less how to use it.

By the way, when I was using ReadyGraph, an email originating from [email protected] promoting some children’s book was sent to my subscribers. I don’t have to tell you how damaging losing the trust of your subscribers is when starting a website.

My problems started when I tried to delete RG. A “ghost” image still appeared on my subscriber page, but each and every subscriber was deleted from my subscriber list (the number of subscribers remained).

Then I had the problems with the Facebook share numbers (deleted) and not being able to email my post manually.

I’ll do a search for FTP software, but I have the feeling I’m in over my head. And contacting RG doesn’t work. They blame the newest version of WP for messing up their plugin, but offer no solutions.

Any ideas? The fact is, I can’t get my work out to people. Should I reactivate jetpack?

    @andrewgoutman

Jetpack might be a good option while you figure out FTP – try FileZilla – it’s a great and free option.

i installed wordpress again, i deleted my wp-admin and wp-includes folders. i uploaded wp-admin and wp-includes folders from new wordpress. The problem is solved.

    Hi there,

What is the URL of your site?

    Tanay
