How to get rid of default wordpress text?

Please explain clearly what you mean by ‘default wordpress text’.

I have my main logo in the middle of the page, but if you click on the link you see a smaller version. I cannot get rid of this smaller version that is provided by wordpress.

If I check off “Show header text with your image” it gets rid of the entire header. Driving me nuts!

This is taking place in the twentyeleven theme if that is helpful

Use a child theme and review Page Templates while reviewing CSS for WP.

try and add the ususal to style.css of your existing child theme:

#site-title,#site-description{text-indent:-9999px;}
