I have a space on my home page that every time I try to fill, e.g. with an image, it pushes the whole page down instead of just filling the space. It is in the left column between the “top story” image and the social media buttons. https://www.fatfightertv.com/

Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thank you!

it shows as empty paragraph tags in th html view of your site in the browser:

<p><a href="https://fatfightertv.com/blog/2011/11/ellie-kriegers-skillet-mac-and-cheese/">Skillet mac and cheese – try this comfort food made healthy</a></p>
    <p>&nbsp;</p>
    <p>&nbsp;</p>
    <p>&nbsp;</p>
    <p>&nbsp;</p>
    <p>&nbsp;</p>
    <p>&nbsp;</p>
    <p>&nbsp;</p>
    <p>&nbsp;</p>
    <p>&nbsp;</p>

i can’t check from the outside, how this is inserted into your sidebar – possibly a widget?

It might be a wp plugin – I’m honestly not sure. Do you know which file I would need to edit to get rid of those paragraph tags?

just realize that your site is not self-hosted running the free software wordpress.org , but possibly be hosted with wordpress.com) – so there is unfortunately not much this forum can help you with.

if you are with wordpress.com, please ask at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/
