  • Hi Mitch
    Let me think about it.
Convenience and added security normally doesn’t get along very well.

    Best regards

Hi Henrik, i totally understand and would not want to compromise this… but even Google 2 step auth has a similar option, i believe it allows you to remember this machine or something like that. Im not sure about the technicalities sorry but i do know that it somehow remembers and TRUSTS this device or machine.

    Hope that helps… best regards

Hello @menkom I believe what Google does is add a cookie to the browser cache.

If the browser cache is not deleted then it will remember that browser and log you in. If you try to log into another browser on the same machine it will as you for the Google Authenticator Code provided you have not logged in before.

    Kind regards

This is actually a great idea.
I am logging in to 3-5 different WP installations several times a day and having to enter an authenticator code every time, would be painful…
With an option to remember my machine, security would still be improved a lot, while convenience wouldnt be reduced.

    Best regards

I second that idea. Entering the code every single time is really painful. I believe it is unnecessary if you’re using the same computer over and over again. just my 2 cents. Regards,

Showing such a string is to be?
” Warning: unpack(): Type N: not enough input, need 4, have 0 in /var/www/admin/data/www/example.com/blog/wp-content/plugins/google-authenticator/google-authenticator.php on line 119 ”

“ERROR: The Google Authenticator code is incorrect or has expired.”
After having closed the blog test codes-now writes that the code is invalid.
    What do I do?
