How to get footer to stick to bottom of screen?

    I have tried a few different CSS techniques but can’t seem to get the footer to stick to the bottom of the page — some of my pages aren’t long enough to fill the full height and the footer sits above the bottom of the screen, showing my background image below. How can I fix this?

    i googled “css fix footers” and came up with a various number of ways to do that
