    Hi dtarver1,

Descriptions use the space to the right of the icon, so if you want regular columns of icons you would need to have descriptions=false.

Is it possible to have descriptions as well? I’d like members to know what they are downloading ??

    Thank you

is the recommended strategy to put a descriptive ‘title’, ‘caption’ and ‘description’?

    Hi dtarver1,

Descriptions are intended — as far as DG is concerned — for detailed explanations of the attachment where the full horizontal space is the only sensible layout. If you have just a few words, then the title would be the recommended way to convey the information about the attachment. The “caption” is not used in any DG output so you can put whatever you like there, it just would not be displayed by DG.

There are more advanced ways to achieve completely different per-icon layouts, which I can go into if you like, but they would involve writing code to filter the DG output, which is not most people’s cup of tea.

EDIT: I implied it above, but didn’t explicitly mention that the columns attribute does nothing when descriptions are enabled. The standard descriptions-enabled output has two columns — one with icons and one with descriptions.

    Hi dtarver1,

I’m just checking in on this issue. Does my previous answer address your question?

PS: If you’ve found this plugin useful, please take a moment to rate it. Thanks! ??

    Hi Dan

I just started to configure it. I will spend more time on Saturday. Yes, I will rate it.

    Thank you
