  • That depends – where does WooCommerce store these affiliate links? If it’s a custom post type, it should show up in Settings -> Link Checker -> Look For Links In.

On the other hand, if it’s a custom database table or something like that, you’re probably out of luck unless someone writes a custom compatibility module for BLC.

Thanks for getting back to me to quickly. I receive a response from the Datafeedr plugin: “We store affiliate links in the postmeta table like this:

    merchant.com/product=123&affiliate_id=@@@

When the link is rendered on your site, your affiliate ID gets inserted into the link to produce this:

    merchant.com/product=123&affiliate_id=xyz

We do not ‘hardcode’ your affiliate ID into the stored affiliate link in the database because that would cause a major problem if you needed to change your affiliate ID for all of the products in your store. This way, you can change your affiliate ID at any time without having to re-update all of the products in your store.”

So it isn’t something the broken link checker could check.

    Thanks for a great plugin!

    Regards
    Karen
