How to get a subscriber count?

    I used to get the number of WordPress followers to a site with the code from : https://settleinelpaso.com/subscriber-count/

    But now I get the following error:

    Notice: Jetpack::load_xml_rpc_client is deprecated since version jetpack-7.7 with no alternative available

    How can I get the number of followers in newer versions of Jetpack?
