How to get a sidebar?

  • Sixteen seems good, but it supposed to have a sidebar and I’m not getting one. I had a look in ‘Widgets’ and it shows a ‘Primary Sidebar’ with plenty of things in it (search bar, recent posts etc) but this is not showing up on the website. Any ideas?

    Also there is an (in my view) ugly ‘scroll down’ slider on the home page. Setting the home page to only show 3 blog posts (one row) hasn’t changed this.

    Sixteen theme supports sidebar only on post and page but not on blog/home page.

    Hi rosb, change the auto to hidden found in: wp-content/themes/sixteen/css/main.css

    #primary-home {
    overflow: hidden;
}

    I changed the overflow from auto to hidden further down main.css and that has cured it. Much appreciated.
