How to get a Post title to go over onto two lines when I want it to

  • In the posts on my website I regularly want to have my post titles on two lines with one lead phrase on the first line and an explanatory text on the second line. However when I press the space bar and move along the text in order to push the text onto the second line it doesn’t work in wordpress.
    Is there another way to do it?
    BTW I am generally happy with the container width for my titles so that is not the solution i am looking for, unless there is an easy way to change the container width for an individual post. And if so how do you do it inside the Post editing process?

  • Have you tried with <br /> tag?

    Tested with the default wordpress 2016 theme and work.
    If with your theme doesn’t, probably the theme strip tags from the title.
