• Hello all. I have a quick (hopefully) question. Is it possible to get a page’s content (not a post, a real page i.e. about us) and show it within the sidebar?

If not is there a simple alternative to this?

    Thanks for the help.

  • theres more than one way to do that.

    can you be more specific?

a wordpress page? a standalone page? what? and the whole page? 1/2 the page? a blurb? what?

if its a wordpress page, do you plan on changing the content of it? if not, its not short enough to just paste the content into the sidebar, or a widget?

heres a plugin, if its a wordpress page

    https://www.vtardia.com/improved-include-page/

you could use the standard php include() if it were a standalone page.

well its the about page. Literally like 1 paragraph but I want the user to be able to edit it through the wp interface so they don’t have to edit a php file.

    see plugin site above then.

Thanks that’s exactly what I was looking for ??

It says it’s Compatible up to: 2.7

Is that just because it has not been updated since 2.7 or will it still work with 2.8.4

usually that’s because the author hasn’t updated it / tested it beyond that WP version

    some plugins work, some don’t

it will work, im using it on a 2.8.4 blog.
