• i recently backed up & then reinstalled my wordpress site.
it was using "wp fastest cache" previous to the backup.
the folder for the "wp fastest cache" cache was included with the back up.

i reinstalled the whole site successfully from the backup. all the pages were there online.
when i started adding new pages, the pages are being added, but are not showing up on the links in the sidebar. (the old page links are still in the sidebar)

the site has location based pages
    i.e.
it has now has 2 pages for "Massachusetts"
they both have the same content on the page (the text on the page)

but the old page only has the towns added before the backup (in the sidebar links)
    i.e. boston & 8 others
& the new page has all 20 towns under "Massachusetts"

when you click on "boston" you only get the first 9 towns that were added. (because boston was one of the first towns added before the backup & reinstallation)

i have pressed the 2 blue buttons to clear all cache a few times each
    "clear all cache"
    "delete cache & minified css/js"

i have deactivated & then re-activated "wp fastest cache" a few times.

i have fully cleared the browser cache on my pc & other people have seen the issues i am seeing. (from different devices)

also, when i updated the content of the page (just to test it) (i just changed grad to graduate) the page did not change.

so the cache is not clearing, as it is set to clear each time the page is updated.

i have cleared out (emptied) the entire cache folder. (for "wp fastest cache")
so both the "cache" folder & "wpfc-minified" folder have been emptied.

how do i ensure that all of the cache files are cleared, because based on the page not updating the content it looks like this is the issue (as well as other things)

& is there anything else i need to do to resolve the issue.

I recommend that you use a fresh WP installation. Get backup the images and DB and install a new wp again.

ok, i will do that, but just to clarify, you mean back it up with “backuply” as an example, then restore it again ? or is there a backup plugin more suitable for this ?

I did not advise any wordpress plugin. I do not use any wordpress plugin for backup.

    Hey @omg123456,

If you don’t mind, please allow me to help.

    Solution:

    1. Retrieve a good working copy of your website from back-up (prior to getting hit with malware). Your host should be able to help you. What host are you using?
    2. If 1. is not possible, verify that your website is clean and working. Currently, it’s offline (as noted here), so I can’t verify that for you. Also, make sure you address (i.e., fix) your website’s console errors (they are unrelated to WPFC).
    3. Once you verify your website is clean and working, make sure you’re using the latest version of WP, theme, and plugins.
    4. Go to WPFC Options and disable all minification and combination settings. Afterwards, clear all cache layers (theme, plugins, CDN, browser), then check your website.

    Useful Tips:

    1. Minifying HTML, CSS, and JS many times can create issues. The same applies to combining CSS and JS. I highly recommend NOT combining JS if your website is served via HTTP/2 or HTTP/3 (QUIC).
    2. Ensure you have no other plugins with activated settings that overlap those activated in WPFC.
    3. As Emre stated, do not use a plugin for backing up your website. Your host needs to do that for you (i.e., offer that service). If not, change to a reputable host that does.

thank you for that, but when you say –

“Go to WPFC Options and disable all minification and combination settings.”

do you mean “settings” – not “options” because there is no “options” & which ones exactly do you mean by “all minification and combination settings” ?

    thank you again

    ps

the site is online now, but the problem in the original post is still there, the links in the right sidebar are not showing up

    Hi @omg123456,

do you mean “settings” – not “options” because there is no “options” & which ones exactly do you mean by “all minification and combination settings” ?

    Hand-holding: Click here

Also, you did not follow the solution steps. Read them again.

    1. You’re using WP 6.5.2, the latest is WP 6.7.1. Make sure WP, your theme, and your plugins are up-to-date.
    2. You still have several console errors that need to be fixed.
    3. You have CSS render-blocking issues.
    4. You did not clear all cache layers. Your site is still showing a cache date-stamp of 2024-11-24.
    5. Consult a developer or your host to fix any issues that cannot be fixed with what I provided above.

In short, WPFC is not the issue. You need to address the above first.

If satisfied with the above, please consider closing this topic as “Resolved.”

    Best wishes!
