How to format the splash page HTML and CSS style

I understand the plugin fine. However, I see no way to format the HTML and CSS of the splash page. The inputs on the interface just stack everything from the top—text line for line from the top of the page centered. The images center, but sit at the top under the text. It is missing CSS formatting and HTML tags—and I cannot see any way of coding them to create and format the splash page.
Point me in the right direction. Or, is this not possible?
