How to fix undefined variable “is_admin” in vars.php

    I’m trying to switch servers right now. However, I get this error message on the new server after uploading my DB and WP files:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_admin() in /mnt/gs01/herd04/37032/domains/artofmanliness.com/html/wp-includes/vars.php on line 4

    I’m pretty much a newb, so I have not clue how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.

    Whenever it says “undefined function” it means missing or corrupted files.

    Make sure the wp-includes/query.php is uploaded and complete (that’s where the function is defined).
